CIAI’s challenge
In places where there are loneliness and poverty, girls are even more exposed to exploitation, abuse and discrimination.
They are forced to: give up their study opportunities; marry men who are much older than them when they are still extremely young (in some countries, if they refuse, they could be imprisoned); work just as much as men for lower pay; submit to violence; work as prostitutes.
CIAI’s projects help to improve women’s conditions, especially by promoting schooling for girls, by offering them opportunities for cooperation and involvement and by supporting projects aimed at protecting those girls who bravely rebel.
