Migrant children are particularly vulnerable. They had to leave behind their certainties, their homes and their loved ones, when they need them the most and have a profound need for stability. We want to help each one of them to overcome their bewilderment and fear, and find everyday find protection, warmth and opportunity.
Ragazzi Harraga is a project dedicated to unaccompanied minors, children and teenagers who have arrived in Italy on their own, often after very hazardous journeys. Escaping from war, suffering and violence. In Palermo CIAI supports 400 of them with a home, education and job orientation.
In 2019 the projects “SAAMA” and “In gioco” will continue to help these minors.
